Nitesh Estates Bangalore based real estate firm has launched a residential housing project in south Bangalore. The high-rise premium condominium project named Nitesh British Columbia is coming up on plot of 4.7 acres with an investment of Rs.300 Crores. The project will have 388, 2 bed room and 3bedroom apartments, the area ranging from 1,000 sq feet to 1600 sq feet. The company in its filing with the BSE has said that the project is attractively priced starting from 37 lakhs.
Karnataka Government gives priority for Infrastructure projects in Bangalore
At last the Karnataka Government has decided to take up infrastructure projects in and around Bangalore on top priority. The State government is taking up the construction of peripheral ring road around Bangalore, which will about 65 Kms in length and will be of six or eight lanes aimed at reducing traffic congestion in the central areas. It will be constructed on the model of Hyderabad City where it was recently constructed. T.B.Jayachandra, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs has said the project would cost around Rs.5800 Crores which is approved by the cabinet and an Agency called DULT is appointed and has been directed to prepare the detailed project report (DPR) within specified time. Thereafter, the project would be undertaken with the support of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) which is funding and sharing its expertise. He has also said that land acquisition for the project is already underway and the farmers losing land would be compensated either with alternative land or money as per their choice.
Apart from this the Government is planning to set up Bangalore Aerospace Park (BAP) which will be developed as a world- class aerospace hub. The state of the art project project would be set up on 985 acres land adjacent to the Bangalore International Airport (BIAL). The facility will have excellent connectivity as it can be accessed by important national highways like NH7, NH4 and NH207. A Special Economic Zone (SEZ) would also be located with this area. The government has also decided to set up Aerospace Technology Part (ATP) in Devanahalli to facilitate research facilities in this field. The facility would be set up at a cost of Rs.9 Crores. The government owned HAL has expressed interest in aerospace technology and a number of private companies have also shown interest.
Further, the cabinet is considering a proposal to amend Karnataka Industries (Facilitation) Act to increase the approval limit of committees on investment proposal. Accordingly the single window clearance committee, which had power to clear projects worth 3 crore to 50 crore has now been empowered to clear projects up to Rs.100 crores. State High Level Clearance Committee (SHLCC) will clear projects above Rs.100 Crores. District clearance committees which hitherto had powers to clear projects worth 3 Crores now have powers to clear projects up to 15 Crores.
